I don’t even know what to say about this commercial. On the one hand, what the fuck? On the other hand, given the political atmosphere in which we’re operating these days, it might not be such a bad thing.

I’m glad they added “and Hispanic people”. I was wondering.

I love that commercial! I find myself crowing, at random times during the day, “At the Red House!” And the mood interlude music sets the tone perfectly.

Are you kidding? That is the best commercial ever! Thank you! My husband, who grew up near High Point, is in the WTF camp, however. He watched the commercial three times in a row and says he feels violated.

I see on the website you can get t-shirts with a similar theme… “Red House. Where black, white, and all people buy furniture”. The behind the scenes was lovely as well, despite the awkward stroking scenes.

It’s amazing how quitting school at age 6 can bring people of all races together!

That was hilarious. I’m in NC and it comes darn close to making me want to go visit High Point just I can see The Red House. Don’t need any furniture though so I guess I’ll have to stay here and chuckle to myself.

I don’t get it. Is that really a real commercial? We’re not allowed to notice different skin color up here in the Northwest, so I can’t quite believe that’s not a joke. Is it a joke?

    I’m so confused!
