The man who has never been seen in the same room as me has a story in a just-published anthology of gay romantic fiction called Fool for Love.

From what I understand, the man who has never been seen in the same room as me knows little to nothing about romance (apparently he likes to think otherwise, but the number of men in New York who gainsay him is large enough to constitute incontrovertible proof), so I can’t imagine the story will be any good, but my hopes for editors Timothy J. Lambert and R. D. Cochrane and authors David Puterbaugh, Mark G. Harris, Shawn Anniston, Brandon M. Long, Felice Picano, Rob Byrnes, Trebor Healey, Josh Helmin, Jeffrey Ricker, Paul Lisicky, ‘Nathan Burgoine, Rob Williams, Andrew Holleran, Greg Herren, and John H. Roush are much higher.

I was right there with you until I hit the “Felice Picano” speed bump.

My speed bump was Andrew Holleran. I find him more lugubrious than romantic.

Romantic or sexy? Or both!?! Oooh, I’m all a-twitter!

  4. John and David: I’m not familiar enough with the work of Picano and Holleran to have an opinion. And I haven’t gotten to their stories in the book yet.

initials: My story is definitely not sexy. I’m not quite halfway through the book, but romance has seemed much more prevalent than sex so far.

Just picked it up at our local bookatorium and I’m looking forward to reading it! (Well …. most of it anyway.) 🙂

Ok, I’m going to buy it but how will I know when I get to the work by”The man who has never been seen in the same room as me”?? I’m obviously out of the loop here but is this some sort of professional rivalry or is this someone you are secretly in love with and entertain fantasies of “happily ever after” and what -if anything does E.S. have to say about this? It’s all very intriguing!

Why of why are there so few contemporary English books available in my immediate area? And why am I too broke to pay for both the book and international shipping?

(excuse the whininess, I have a final tomorrow and am feeling extremely sorry for myself)
