Of course, the job he was beginning was in the department where this happened less than a month before his first day, so it's possible he should be granted some leeway.

Faustus, I'm sorry, but if you start cutting slack for every endearing old lady who expires without treatment in ES's facility, well -- that way madness lies. OK, bad choice of words.
