Hmmm, no wonder this was a tipoff for my mother. At the wee age of 9, I showed an unusual affinity for this song when it came out.

I remember the first gay bar I ever went to played this song. At the appropriate moments, about 70 sets of hands went up in the air and did double-claps. Voila: my entree into gay culture.
