Except the mortgage fell through, so we’re buying this non-HUD-foreclosed house instead:

On the one hand, it is not on the site of the former Kings County Penitentiary.

On the other hand, it has ceilings.

So we’re probably coming out ahead in the end.

There, there. I’m sure that at least one person of great notoriety has lived there in the past, and you will, no doubt, discover his or her identity shortly.

You’re buying the whole thing? All three floors are yours? Mazel tov.

  12. Jess says:

Ceilings are a good thing. Mazel tov!

  13. I always assume that if you buy a forclosure property that some big dude with a sawed off shotgun will show up on your doorstep some day and say, “Yer in mah home! Git out!” (Or with whatever accent applicable.)

At least if that does happen, it will make for an excellent blog entry.

    Congratulations!

At least its yours! Mazel tov! We just got our first condo offer accepted as well.

    That looks handsome.

I second just about everybody; a MUCH prettier place. I am madly jealous. Not that that is of any consequence at all.

  17. Ruby says:

Like Adam said, it is yours. Besides, you two have great taste and I’m sure it’ll look awesome as soon as you move in.

BTW, I like this version. Now you don’t have to rename your blog “The Search for Agape”….

    Oh my, that’s gorgeous. Congratulations.
