Crap. Yesterday was my bloggiversary and I forgot.
Clearly I have been doing this for too long.

What kind of attitude is that? Do you say "clearly I've been alive for too long" every time you have a birthday? No. You have a nice cake, and your friends sing to you, albeit badly. You should be drinking to excess, wearing an odd hat, and demanding presents.

anapestic: It was really only the "I forgot" part that I was reacting to. The event itself is nothing but celebratory.
Convivia: As you can see here and here, I myself have waffled back and forth. At the moment I feel "blogiversary" would lead one, if not to a soft g, then at the very least to a long o. Perhaps next year I'll feel differently. A foolish consistency, after all . . .

Nah, no celebrations. After the first, you must clearly follow it with a fifth, tenth, twentieth, and fiftieth.
Blogging, as with love, is only special when celebrated in years divisible by five and have a nice ring to your ears. One cannot, therefore, celebrate the thirty-fifth blogversary.
