Here are two pictures of the blanket I just finished knitting for my cousin’s baby-to-be.

Ooh, I hear ya. I finished a baby blanket about three weeks ago and I have NEVER been so glad to be done with something. And I seem to recall you were working on that at least two months ago!
What kind of yarn is that? It’s purty!
I just wanted to tell you that I think the blanket is really very pretty. I am a failed knitter, because I couldn’t take the monotony of knitting. I’m always envious of people who can turn yarn into art. Or comfy blankets.

How on earth do you find the time ?
I hope you haven’t given up on the quilting!
I like it. It’s like hundreds of little rainbow flags. It’s a good way to start a baby off in the world.
Wow…. look so nice and colorful!!
It’s lovely! If Marc and I ever manage to get pregnant (we keep trying!), would you make one for us?
what sized needles did you use? Is it all in one piece?
You did an incredibly perfect job!
omg, that’s so pretty!
very nice blankie!
I spent the weekend working on a wedding-gift needlepoint . . . of course, it’s now 10.5 years late, and they have three kids, but I’m still working away. It’s about 75% done. bigger scrim; must get bigger scrim . . .
It’s gorgeous. Hypnotic, almost.
I feel strangely compelled to do your bidding…
Nifty gay pride baby blanket! You should market these to those newly adoptive gay parents. They can wrap their chinese/ guatemalan/ etc. bundle of joy in yards of warm, woolen, gay love…
OWWW, MY EYES! MY EYES! I’m sure that’s a very nice blankie you made, but my gawd man! The colors! :~)
Aren’t you worried you’ll make the baby dizzy?
I see that I’m in the minority because I LOVE IT. It’s beautiful, Faustus. I would cry if someone gave me something they’d made by hand that looked like that (happy tears, of course
).
