As a native Californian, I know that multi-tasking while sitting by the pool with sunglasses is an acquired skill. Be patient and in time you will be amazed at how much can be accomplished while sitting by the pool with sunglasses on.
I suggest that you start slowly, and work your way up to the more dificult tasks like blogging. Perhaps you can start by offering to apply sunscreen on an attractive companion sitting by the pool with sunglasses on. It may not help you write more often, but writing often is way over-rated.
