While attempting to clean my office today, I came across the first gift I ever received from somebody who was not a blood relative. It was given to me when I was five by my across-the-street neighbor Meb.

Wow. Kind of a deep gift for a five year old, eh? Then again, you lived in a house where eating a candy bar could kill someone. (Oh, by the way…I never mentioned how sad I thought it was that no one ever thought to buy TWO)

    Wow.

Wow that it was quite the gift.

Wow that you still own it.

Wow that you remember who gave it to you.

And a pathetic wow, because the first thing ever given to me was half of a piece of pre-chewed gum…

Oh, please. You didn’t just come across that. I’m sure you always wear that at home, just in case E.S. needs to be reminded.

Shouldn’t it be “Eruditer than thou”? That would be more better.
