Oh, Faustus. Punch-Drunk Love isn’t new.
Too afraid of the Zohan to mess with him?
have you seen “50 First Dates”? i love it. drew barrymore notwithstanding.
If you liked it then I guess I’ll give it a shot.
When we trade in absolutes we miss out on life’s many opportunities. I’m glad you kept the door open.
TED: Wait, does this mean that Elf isn’t new either?
sam: Oh, please. The Zohan should be afraid of me.
birdfarm: E.S. loved it too. In fact, it made him cry. Anything that makes E.S. cry is good in my book.
Amber: Don’t be too hasty. My movie standards are very, very low, and whether I love a movie and whether it’s good are two pretty much unconnected questions.
David: Crap. Does this mean people are going to start thinking of me as somebody who doesn’t trade in absolutese? Because if it does then this post is coming down.
I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart (and a hard spot somewhere else…) for Adam Sandler. Don’t ask me to explain it. I thought 50 First Dates was cute — though mostly for the mesh-shirt clad, lisping Sean Astin, though I have totally lost any interest in him after he stumped for Hillary, ugh — but no one here is touting The Wedding Singer? Come on, that was adorable. : )
Umm…Punch Drunk Love was unbearably awful. I would say it was one of the 10 worst movies I’ve ever seen, but I’ve seen so many, I’m not sure whether it makes the top 10. It should, but it mightn’t. I speak as a survivor of The Wicker Man and Tron.
Isn’t liking an Adam Sandler film a harbinger of the end times?
Faustus: E.S. is the top, yet you like to make him cry… perhaps there is more to this? Inquiring minds and all that.
Andy: Did you watch the DVD extras, where Blake Clark (playing Drew’s dad) calls Sean Astin “you little hobbit bastard?” Very amusing.
