The man who has never been seen in the same room as me is participating in a reading in Soho this Friday evening along with some other LGBT writers. He will be reading a short story that he thinks is grim and pretty funny but that I suspect isn’t nearly as accomplished as he believes it is.
If you’re interested in coming, the relevant details can be found here.
I have it on good authority that he’s going to wear something tight.
Update: The reading starts at 7:00.
Whenever I see someone refer to themselves in the third person, I instinctively think of Bob Dole. Do you know how traumatizing that is?
A close fitting alice-band?? (Ignore me I have major grump on.)
Knock ’em dead
Cool! Would you happen to know what time is your reading?
Would love to make it, work permitting.
A.B.
Will the new backpack also be making an appearance?
To the left of each author’s biographical blurb is a small image of the book they have just published. Except for one: the very first, Joel’s, is a headshot. LOVE it!
I probably can’t get there earlier than 7:30PM. Will this be a problem?
If I lived in Manhattan – I’d come root for Joel, but I don’t so I can’t – unless I phone my cheering in?
Hey, Joel. So nice to meet you at the reading. Enjoyed hearing your latest work. Would really like to talk with you about your musical works (great sound clips!). Visit my website sometime and check out my clips.
Take care,
Dennis.
Hey, I really adore your blog. It basically rules.
Exactly HOW tight?
