Actually, according to E.S.’s further researches, our new neighborhood was in all likelihood occupied long ago by the Canarsie Indians.

Which means that we may very well be buying a house built on an ancient Indian burial ground.

An ancient Indian burial ground and the site of the former Kings County Penitentiary.

Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

That still leaves the lunatic asylum, but one presumes that your moving in will remedy that omission.

Then again, the indians might have buried lunatics there.

For someone who gets squeamish over the idea of moss, I’m surprised that the possibility of vengeful dead indian and convict corpses bursting through the floor in the middle of the night doesn’t give you pause.

    You’ve seen Poltergeist, right?

    I totally agree with David.

But the idea of a house built over a place with such interesting history is so appealing! I mean, this could be fun. I only you were living there before and E.S. had discovered all of this info on Halloween.

    Now THAT would be exciting.
