Well, I thought Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was quite good.

Unfortunately, I somehow managed to obtain a copy with 534 extra pages before the book actually started. I have half a mind to call the publisher and demand a correct version.

Oh, wait.

Is that an English “quite good” or an American “quite good”?

It was a bit long, wasn’t it.

It’s almost like they have to be longer and longer so the kids can rack up pages read like air-miles.

    First, nothing happens.
    Later, Harry stalks Draco.
    Then they kill Jesus.

Only 534? That’s hundreds of pages less filler than in the previous one. Things are looking up; although not enough to persuade me to read the wretched thing.

You should have given it to the girl in the restaurant. Think how many minutes of your life that would have saved.

Wow – you described exactly how I felt about it. I want those six hours I spent reading it back!

I agree completely. But, we still keep buying them, hardcover and all, don’t we?
